With beautiful weather to greet upwards of 2,000 street rods, hot rods, customs, pickups and more, the 41st edition of the NSRA Western Street Rod Nationals was again a huge success…
This event is much like a big family reunion, with groups gathered around the BBQ’s, grilling up their favorites…socializing…the core of street rodding.
The Kern County Fairgrounds is a natural for the weekend, with shade trees throughout, grassy areas, a shaded area for the hardworking tech inspectors grading cars for the coveted NSRA Safety Sticker; there are several buildings packed with vendors, arts & crafts, and the like as well as the automotive related swap meet for the gearheads to peruse.
Club banners were everywhere, as dedicated club members displayed the club cars in a group, such as the club I’m proud to be a member of, San Luis Roadsters, which we founded in 1970 and are very active to this day…..enjoy a ‘day’ at the show!
