EDINBURG, Texas — Big money and big excitement is coming to Edinburg Motorsports Park with IHRA Ironman Classic races on February 25-26.
It’s the perfect kickoff to the 2023 IHRA racing season at the South Texas track.
The two-day event features $6,000-to-win races on both Saturday and Sunday for its Box and No Box classes, based on 32-car minimums. In addition, there are $1,000-to-win Junior Dragster races on tap. The races include first-round buybacks for all classes.
It’s also your opportunity for chassis certification, to become a new IHRA member or to have your license renewed.
The IHRA Ironman Classic program is offered to all member tracks. Prior to this program, a sportsman racer could only win an Ironman if they traveled to a divisional or IHRA national event. This program gives local tracks a chance to create extra excitement in their bracket program and offer competitors a chance to win the prestigious Ironman trophy.
