HOLLY SPRINGS, Ms. — International Hot Rod Association racers and tracks were recognized with special awards at the IHRA Division 2 (Heatwave) Summit Team Finals at Holly Springs Motorsports.
In addition, Brittany Bishop won a battle of track operators with a win over Nina Bishop, no relation, in the final round.
Brittany Bishop went down the track in 12.181 seconds with a .596 reaction time on an 11.89 dial-in. Nina Bishop came up a little short after a 10.188-second run with a .655 reaction time against a 5.90 dial-in.
Teams from Music City Dragway, Brainerd Motorsports Park and London Dragway were recognized.
